CLASSES
1. Students should be enrolled in a class type and level which is appropriate to their level of skill and experience, as determined by the School or Teacher.
2. For students enrolled under Young Artist Program:
Students will continue to be enrolled in their current class type and level until the School determines that the student has made sufficient progress to advance to the next level or base on their age eligibility.
The School will inform students when they are assessed to have made sufficient progress to advance to the next level. The student will then be enrolled by the School in the next level in accordance with the School’s timetable and schedule, and will be charged term fees for the next level from the date of such enrolment.
If students wish to remain in the current level, they should inform the School in writing by the deadline stipulated by the School. The School may, at its discretion, decide whether the student will be allowed to remain in the current level.
3. Students are required to be punctual for class. Students who are late for a class should inform the School. Student may be denied entry/ participation in the class, at the Instructor’s discretion.
4. The School may change the timing, date, curriculum and/or instructors of classes, courses or events, or cancel any class, course or event, with or without notice, where circumstances require or any unforeseen circumstances arise.
5. Physical contact by members of the teaching staff might be necessary during classes. If parents, wards or students have any concerns about physical contact, please inform the School in writing at the point of enrolment, or as early as possible once any such concerns arise.
6. If a student who is scheduled to attend a class has sustained an injury or is in the midst of recovering from an injury but still wishes to attend and/or observe the class, the student should notify the School of the details of the injury via email at admin@maballet.com. The student should also update teachers the details of the injury. Depending on the nature and/or severity of the injury, the School or instructor has the full discretion to decide whether the student should only be allowed to observe and not participate in the class, or whether the student’s participation in the class should be limited in any way.
TERM FEE POLICY
Our Term Fee Packages will be standardized at 12 weeks per term. This helps manage expectations and reduces confusion. Students with fewer classes due to the yearly calendar or public holidays can attend make-up sessions within their class level.
The term fee will be offered as a package with a minimum training frequency. Even if students choose to attend fewer classes than the minimum frequency, we will not be able to reduce the invoice amount.
FEES / CANCELLATIONS / REFUNDS
1. All fees paid to M.A BALLET are non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2. All purchases of class packages are non-refundable and non-transferrable. All purchases of uniforms and other merchandise are non-returnable and non-refundable.
3. A one-time Registration Fee of $100 will be charged at the point of enrolment into the School.
4. After enrolment in a class has been confirmed, requests to change classes/ levels are subject to the School’s discretion.
5. Students should not enrol or register for classes or courses if they are unsure whether they will be able to attend. Unless these T&Cs specifically provide otherwise, if students are unable to attend a class or course which they have enrolled in or registered for, they should inform the School beforehand, at least 12 hours prior to the start of class. Students should also take note of the Missed Classes and Make-Up Classes Arrangements in these T&Cs.
6. For Adult Ballet: Students will have to self withdraw from classes 24 hours prior to the start of the class, in order for the class credit to be refunded. This 24-hour cancellation window shall be strictly adhered to. If a student withdrew from a class within 24 hours, the credit for the class will be forfeited. The School does not offer make-up classes for missed Adult Ballet classes.
7. For Adult Students “Pay as you Pilé” Package-Holders, kindly note that extensions or freezing of packages are not permitted under any circumstances, except in the event of term breaks or class cancellations initiated by us. We recommend purchasing packages based on your ability to fully utilise all class credits within the validity period.
MAKEUP REQUEST ARRANGEMENTS FOR PUBLIC HOLIDAYS, ABSENCES
1. Parents must submit the make-up request form via Makeup Request Form (https://clients.oclass.app/maballet/request-form) for absences or if there is a reduction in classes due to fewer weeks in the term.
2. All makeup lessons have to be arranged within the current term. In the case where student is absent during the final week of the term due to illness, the make-up lesson may be arranged in the first week of the following term only.
3. If a class is scheduled to fall on a Public Holiday, the class will not be conducted. Parents have to arrange a makeup lesson for their child within the current term.
4. Make-up classes will be under the same class level, but a session where the student is not enrolled or a class level lower or higher upon teacher’s approval. No carrying forward to next term. If makeup lesson not done within the term then will be forfeited.
5. If the School cancels any class, whether due to unforeseen circumstances (eg. illness of the instructor or otherwise), Makeup request arrangement must be submitted. No refund will be provided to students.
6. No changes are allowed after make-up lesson appointments are made.
7. Make-up lessons will be forfeited if students do not turn up on the appointment lesson.
8. Any absences from class, Parents have to inform the School of their' child’s absence and arrange a makeup lesson for their child
ONE-TIME PLANNED LEAVE
Parents will have a choice to request for a One-Time Customized Invoice, which can be utilised only once a year within a term.
You may take up to 2 weeks of absence (referring to the period not individual days) E.g. Students who comes 3 times a week, up to 6 missed classes can be excluded from the in the term invoice.
The absence period cannot be divided into separate segments. (based on consecutive calendar weeks)
For other absences, please submit a makeup request instead.
The other three terms will follow the 12-week standardized full term fee.

We understand that many of our students come from expatriate families, and we hope this would provide flexibility for students and parents when planning extended holidays. However, we kindly seek your understanding that, as a school, we must also ensure the sustainability of our studio—covering operational costs and supporting our teachers and staff, especially following our recent expansion. Our priority remains delivering high-quality ballet education while maintaining the stability of our institution.
COMPETITION PARTICIPATION
1. Students who wish to participate in competitions as a representative of the School must either:
(a) be enrolled in our Elite Program or
(b) if the student is a student who is not enrolled in the Elite Program, the student must be deemed ready to participate in competitions and be registered under the representative of M.A BALLET.
2. For each competition, the student representing the School will be required to pay the School:
(a) the registration fees for the competition;
(b) costume production and/or shipping costs or costume rental fee;
(c) Accompanying Teacher fee of $100 per day per student;
(d) viewing ticket fees of accompanying teacher;
(e) any other applicable fees and costs, which the School will inform the student of.
3. The student will be entitled to retain any prize money awarded to the student at each competition. However, the School reserves the right to borrow any trophies, medals and/or certificates for an indefinite period of time for display purposes.
CLASS ATTENDANCE AND CONDUCT
• Please be punctual for class. There will be no extension or rescheduling of class for latecomers.
• Parents / Guardians are not allowed into the dance studio during class.
• M.A BALLET reserves the right to change our dance programme instructors without prior notice.
• M.A BALLET will not be held liable for any loss or damage to the belongings of the students during the dance programme.
• Students (or the Parents / Guardians) are required to notify M.A BALLET 1 month in advance should they wish to terminate their dance programme.
• All students are expected to be attentive during class. M.A BALLET reserves the right to remove any student who is unruly / disruptive / abusive during class.
• M.A BALLET reserves the right to update our Terms & Conditions, fees, and class schedules without prior notice. We shall take reasonable steps to inform all students of such changes in advance.
• All mobile phones must be turned off or switched to silent mode during class.
• Please update M.A BALLET immediately of any changes to your contact details in writing. All details will be held in strict confidentiality.
• Coaches cannot take children to the toilet. Please ensure they use the facilities before class starts.
• All children must wear the M.A BALLET uniform during classes, with pink leggings. Clothing from other dance schools is not permitted.
• Hair must be tied in a bun during class.
• Parents are not allowed into the dance studio during class for safety and focus reasons.
• Please be on time as lateness may reduce warm-up time, which is essential for getting the most out of the session.
• Please ensure your child brings water to class to stay hydrated.
STUDENT SAFETY POLICY
To ensure the safety of our young students, we kindly remind parents to pick up their children on time after class.
Late Pick-Up Notification - Kindly inform us via Whatsapp 96310054 if you are running late
Prohibition of Leaving Premises - Please ensure your child to stay in M.A BALLET until pick-up by you or a designated helper
Administrator Presence - There may be instances when the administrators are not available. Please always remind your child to wait in M.A BALLET studio premises.
Étude 4 / Elite 2 Students - Only Étude 4 / older Elite 2 students are permitted to leave on their own after class. If staying for personal practice, kindly notify the teacher.
M.A BALLET’s responsibility for minor students begins only when the child is in our studio when a teacher is present. We are not liable for students who are dropped off outside the premises or left unsupervised in any other area.
RESTROOM POLICY
Parents are encouraged to have their child use the toilet before class. While we understand younger children may still need to go during class, please note our receptionist can only escort them to and from the bathroom, but cannot assist inside. If your child is not yet independent, kindly remain nearby and inform us in advance so we can call you should the need arise.

UNIFORM ATTIRE
1. Students are required to purchase the M.A BALLET uniform leotard as per class level.
2. Students must wear ballet tights (pink) and ballet shoes.
3. Students must wear panties that are not visible outside the leotard.
4. Students must wear their hair neatly in a bun for all classes.
ENROLMENT IN EXTERNAL DANCE-RELATED PROGRAMMES OR CLASSES
1. Training at a different dance school / academy or under an external instructor may create confusion in the way a student is being taught ballet techniques due to differing training styles and content. Except for Adult students.
2. In general, during a student’s enrolment with the School (except for Adult students), a student should not register for or attend any other dance-related training programme or class with another school or under an external instructor in Singapore. If the student wishes to do so, the student should seek School’s approval in writing prior to registration for the other training programme or class. The School reserves the right to terminate a student’s enrolment without any prior notice if it discovers that the student has not complied with this clause and/or has proceeded to attend the other training programme or class without the School’s approval.
PAYMENT PENALTIES
• Children’s Program: A 2% interest of the unpaid term fee will be charged for every week of late payment after the due date (as stated in the invoice).
• Adult Ballet, Private Lessons, and Product Payments: A 10% penalty will be charged on the unpaid package/product fee if fees are outstanding from the due date (as stated in the invoice).
PHOTOGRAPHS / VIDEO FOR MARKETING USE
I consent to M.A. Ballet using photographs or likenesses of myself or my child(ren) in promotional materials, including the website or other marketing purposes.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
The trademarks of M.A BALLET are proprietary to M.A BALLET and may not be used by you for any purposes other than as expressly permitted by these Terms. All Website content, design, text, graphics, and interfaces; the collection, selection, and arrangement thereof; and all software are the property of, or duly licensed to, M.A BALLET. You have the right to view, electronically copy, and print in hard copy portions of the Website solely for the purpose of making class reservations, purchases, or other personal use.
Any other use of materials on the Website, including modification, distribution, or reproduction for purposes other than those noted above, without the prior written permission of M.A BALLET, is strictly prohibited.
You acknowledge that M.A BALLET and/or third-party content providers remain the owners of all Website materials, and that you do not acquire any of those ownership rights by downloading, copying, or using any such material in accordance with these Terms. M.A BALLET may discontinue or remove the Website, or any portion thereof, or discontinue your right to use the Website, or any portion thereof, at any time.
WARRANTY DISCLAIMER & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
In no event will M.A BALLET be liable for any direct, indirect, special, or other consequential damages resulting from your use of the Website, or any other linked/third-party website, your purchase of M.A BALLET classes, your booking of classes, your purchase of merchandise, your communication with M.A BALLET, and your use of and attendance at M.A BALLET’s studios, including without limitation, any lost profits, business interruption, loss of programs, or other data on your information handling systems or otherwise, including any claims waived by you previously in this agreement, even if M.A BALLET expressly advised of the possibility of such damage.
All information, goods, services, products, and other materials on the Website and at M.A BALLET’s studio are provided on an “as is” basis without any warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. M.A BALLET makes no warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of the use of the materials or content of the Website.
CHOICE OF LAW
The Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By using the Website or portal app, purchasing an M.A. Ballet class, booking a class, purchasing merchandise, and/or using or attending an M.A. Ballet class, you signify your acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using the Website or portal app, purchasing a class, booking a class, or attending any M.A. Ballet class. All classes purchased are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Occasional changes may be made to this document to reflect changes in M.A. Ballet’s policies. The Terms may be revised at any time by updating this posting. By using the Website or portal app, buying classes, booking classes, purchasing merchandise, and/or using and attending M.A. Ballet’s studios, you agree to be bound by any such revisions. Clients are encouraged to check this document periodically to stay informed of current guidelines.
ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND LIABILITY WAIVER
I acknowledge and understand that by enrolling myself or my child(ren) at M.A. Ballet, I am consenting to participation in physical activities that include, but are not limited to, ballet, contemporary dance, and other related activities. These Activities carry inherent risks of injury that cannot be eliminated regardless of precautions taken.
I understand that participation in these Activities requires quick movements, changes in direction, and the potential for falls, and that these risks include but are not limited to minor injuries (scratches, bruises, sprains), major injuries (joint/back injuries, concussions), and even catastrophic injuries (paralysis, stroke, death).
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my or my child(ren)’s participation in the Activities. I release M.A. Ballet and its affiliates from any liability arising from participation, even if the injuries are a result of negligence. If my child is a minor, I confirm that I have the authority to bind them to this agreement and agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless M.A. Ballet in the event of claims arising from the minor’s participation.
MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION AND FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
In the event of an emergency, I authorize M.A. Ballet to seek emergency medical services for my child(ren). I understand that I am financially responsible for any medical expenses incurred. I confirm that my child(ren) are covered by medical insurance.
GENERAL TERMS
• All fees are non-transferable and non-refundable.
• By purchasing a package of classes, members automatically accept and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
• M.A. Ballet may withdraw access to all or part of its facilities for maintenance or other necessary work.
• Management reserves the right to refuse any individual a package of classes without cause.
• Classes will only be permitted to individuals who have paid for them in advance.
• You may, at your discretion and expense, obtain personal insurance for loss, injury, or damage arising from the use of M.A. Ballet’s facilities.
PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
The Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the “PDPA”) establishes a general data protection law in Singapore which governs the collection, use and disclosure of individuals’ personal data by organisations.
By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you also agree to the terms and conditions set out in the M.A BALLET Data Protection Notice.
