Pointe Class

Pointe class is part of the classical ballet technique that concerns pointe work, in which the dancer supports all the body weight on the tips of their fully extended feet.

Depending on the class level (Beg/Inter/Adv), lessons will include barre exercises, center work and across the floor combinations.

Through the exercises, dancers will develop greater control of their limbs & better their expressions whilst dancing in legato (slow) movement which will eventually develop into faster phased routines.

Students are required to have at least 2-3 years of ballet experience to join this program.

If you are joining this program for the first time, please follow these steps:

  1. Take our regular ballet class first.

  2. Inform the instructor before the class starts that you are interested in joining the pointe class and allow the instructor to assess you, if you are eligible to join.

  3. After the class, the instructor will inform you about progressing to dancing en pointe.
